The Brett Whiteley Studio is a converted t-shirt factory hidden away in Surry Hills , now preserved as a museum and is part of the Art Gallery of NSW . The exhibition itself is mostly downstairs at street level and continues upstairs where you can also see Whiteley’s work in progress ‘so to speak - it is as if he has just stepped outside for a moment.
